Grand Rapids sweeps all four divisions of Bemidji ski meetGrand Rapids swept all four divisions of the initial ski meet of the season at Buena Vista Tuesday, winning both boys and girik slalom in the senior and junior high deivisions. There was no cross country held.In the boys division, Grand Rapids won with 78.56 to 82.05 for St. Cloud Cathedral. Bemidji and Brainerd did not finish the run.Keith Jensen of Bemidji took individual honors with Steve Quinlinvin of St. Cloud second, Dave Larson, Larry Drewes and Jeff Ballek of Grand Rapids finishing 3-4-5.In girls competition, Grand Rapids won with 76.46 to 92.81 for Bemidji. Brainerd was third with 97.53 and St. Cloud fourth with 101.33.Maren Smith of Grand Rapids was individual winner followed by her sister Nancy, Randi Huso of Brainerd, Judy Olson and Janet Snively of Bemidji.Grand Rapids took the junior high boys meet with 81.84 as no other team qualified. Tom Chisholm was individual winner for GrandRapids followed by Doug Fulton, Grand Rapids, Brad Benson, Bemidji; Dave Rossman, Grand Rapids and John Heinen, St. Cloud.In the girts meet. Grand Rapids won with 99.39 to 110.79for Bemidji. Neither Brainerd nor St. Cloud had a team.Lynn Stolen of Grand Rapids was first with Barb Scherer of Bemidji second. Gaye Schroeder of Grand Rapids third and SallySyverson of Bemidji fourth. They were the only skiers to complete both runs.Bemidji will compete next in a Grand Rapids Invitational Tuesday with both cross country and slalom races. Composing the rink were Harold Vollen, Jim Lapp, Doug Wilde and Kevin St en berg.The B team tied 6-6 and lost 5-2. On this rink were Tom Floura, David Close. Dale Heldt, Dale Dreyer and Rod Will .
