CAC Entertains AWC TomorrowArizona Western College’s wrestling Matadors continue their dual meet season tomorrow when they journey to Signal Peak (near Casa Grande) to take dn Central Arizona College ill a 1 p.m. encounter.Today at 3 the Matadors faced Pima College of Tucson.In tomorrow’s match, Central’s Voqueros may be sseking a little revenge. Last year CAC placed second, behind AWC, in the stale wrestling tournament.“It looks like Central is getting stronger with each meet,” said AWC Coach Glenn Mayle. Mesa clobbered Central in the first match of the season for both teams. But last week they met again and this time Central came through with a 2d-20 victory/*Going into today’s action. Western has a l-l dual meetrecord with that loss being a 21-18 verdict to Mesa Community College.Missing r.omorrow’s match will le 107-pound Greg Garcia. '‘Greg has a touch of flu and won’t compete tomorrow, but he will be ready next week Mayle said.Wresiling tomorrow forAWC will be 118-pound Reed Green well, T26-pound Jim May, 134-pound Mark Bertsch, 142- pound Jeff Mercer, 150-pnuiui Ben Rowe. 158-pound Mike Grue, 157-pound Steve Campos, 177-pound Martin Bailey and 190-pound Ira Murphy.In the unlimited division will be Mike Howe.Thursday the Matadors enter the Phoenix College Freesllye Tournament, which is a two-day affair. That will be AWC'.s last action before Christmas vacation.
