The selection will be made some time during the week.The bout between Bernstein and Russell will be the first fight between big men that has been pulled off here in n long, long time, and the reputation of both fighters is such as to Insure a corking good mill.Max Bernstein is well known to rlng-siders in San Antonio. He has been in the game in Panama lately, where he put awav- G-riffeth in six rounds, got a draw with Young Maher in 15. went 10 to a decision with Maher in a return birot. and beat Aurello Gomez, the Mexican welter, in seven. He is a cousin of Uuk Bussell, the welter, possessed of a good reach and a poke.The bout between Bernstein and Bussell will be pulled off between Christmas and Hew Year’s, probable in Beethoven, hall.The Young Jeffries-Kid Burke mill and the Bernstein-Russell bout may be pulled off the same night, as the two main events on the card, preceded by a .rattling-six-round go between two well-known local welters.
