CAGE CLINIC WELL ATTENEDNoted “Chuck” Taylor Pres ents Interesting» i i • 4Demonstrations. 0-The first of a series of basketball clinics under the auspices of the Indiana Stale Teachers College was well attended here last evening. Approximately 250 coaches, players and basketball enthusiasts of this section of the state witnessed the interesting and instructive basketball fundamentals as presented by Coach Miller and his 1934 State Teachers College champions and by the noted C. H. Taylor, one-time professional basketball player now representing the Converse Rubber Company in his useful demonstrations all over the United States, The clinic began with a welcoming address by E. M. Sanders, athletic supervisor of the local college. Then P. H. Boyts took the pleasure of introducing the individual players on Miller’s championship team. With the aid of the players, Coach Miller demonstrated many offensive plays.Following a brief introduction by Coach Miller. Mr, Taylor began his famous ball handling stunts. These instructions were received with great satisfaction from the audience.Asked why he gave these demonstrations all over the country, Mr. Taylor replied, “Just for the promotion of the game.”He added, “The crowd seemed to appreciate my demonstration so much that I really spoke one hour longer than usual. I hope they have profited from this demonstration and I wish that I may appear in your clinic again.”
