BROLLEY NOW BALL MAGNATE.Representative Holds Franchise in New Southern Indiana League.Jeffersonville, Ind., Deo. 7.—At a meeting of baseball men held here yesterday afternoon the Southern Indiana Baseball League was organized for next seaBon. The following six cities were represented and were awarded fran-ohises: Seymour, D. Johnson; North Vernon, Representative Thomas Brolley; Brownstown, Oharle Brock; Bedford, jE. B. Stephenson; New Albany, Gas Bieland and John S. Ray; Jeffersonville, Harry Droata and W. Quick. Another meeting yill be held in January to adopt a constitution and bylaws, to elect officers and award two more franchises. Columbus, Madison, Salem and WeBt Baden will be considered for the two vacancies. tThe league will be modeled upon the Blue Grass League of Kentucky, and will play Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. The New Albany team will be recruited from the New Albany Stars, last season under the management of Mr. Ray. The local park and the one at New Albany are conveniently located upon car lines, and have a big patronage to draw from.Representative Brolley, whoholds the North Vernon franchise,introduced the Sunday baseball bill at the last regular session of the Legislature.
