7 from Big Red Listed On Ail-District TeamThe Columbus Cardinals placed 7. players on the 20-AA All - District football team, it was announced this week.Three Cardinals were named to the defensive team — senior lineman Kenneth Renick, senior linebacker Mark Faldyn and senior back Tracy White.Numed to the offensive team were Faldyn, junior ' quarterback Bill Bankston, senior punter MikeLeopold and senior kicker Bernard Glover.Willie Toliver was named to the second all-district defensive team as a lineman, and center Lynn iiruden and running back Stanley Scott were named to the second offensive team.Receiving honorable mention from Columbus were Don Jenkins and Mike Coleman on both offense and defense, Carl Hillmcr and Chuck Bryson on defense and Ronnie Zatopek on offense.Bellvillc, the district champion, placed 9 players on the first 2 teams. Magnolia and Scaly each placed 4 players. Waller one and Hempstead none. .The Cardinal Booster Club also announced this week that its annual award to the best offensive player went to 3 Cardinals — White, Bankston and Glover. The best defensive award went to Faldyn.
