The Cavaliers currently have only one distance runner on scholarship— Mike Cotton, which may be a fallout from Chris’ Fox transfer last year.For the past several years Virginia’s distance program has been handled by Drew Mearns, a graduate assistant, who is leaving to go to law school.“Fox and Cotton were our first real distance recruits, but we missed getting a lot of others because we didn’t have a full-time coach,” said Craddock. “I think Gary will be able to get some of the people we’ve been losing. The (Corrigan) Report is also very positive. It’s going to help us tremendously.”
