In Last (sameBy DonleyDespite cold winds and sleet, the Raider “C” team defeatedPrincipia in St. Louis, 20-0, inthe last game of the season.The “C” cadets kicked off, but the Raiders held and took the ball when Ratcliff recovered a fumble. Western started a drive. Dufner gained 25 yards, and R. B. Jackson raced 20yards to the 3-yard line. R. Jackson sprinted around end for the touchdown, but the extra point was missed. Western led, 6-0.Principia then held the ball for the rest of the quarter and for part of the second. Prin had two punts called back by penalties. Finally the “C” Panthers kicked. Then Undercoffer tookthe ball on a reverse and galloped 40 yards to score. The point was missed, and the young Raiders led 12-0 at the half.In the second half punts were exchanged, as neither team could gain. In the final quarter, R. Jackson punted to Prin’s 8-yard line. A few plays later, R. B. Jackson caught a pass on the 5-yard line. Then R. B. Jackson scored the last T.D. on a lineplunge. Dufner added 2 extra points by scampering around right end, and Western‘s “C” team won a great 20-0 victory.On offense the cadet starters were R. Jackson, R. B. Jackson, Undercoffer, Dufner, Brandt, Nuetzel, Wisbar, Feigenbaum, J. A. Giewartowski, Paskell, Holman.On defense the starters were R. Jackson, R. B. Jackson, Dufner, Undercoffer, Nuetzel, Ratcliff, Feigenbaum, J. A. Giewartowski, Reza, Holman, Donley. Other players were J. J. Giewartowski, Wojtasic, Arnold. The captains were R. B. Jackson, R. Jackson, and Dufner.
