The champion was mqt at the station by Manager RHe.v [of the Casino Athletic Club and about two hundred local sports.When Joe stepped from trie train he was given a great reception. He was escorted to the Casrno Club headquarters. where over a thousand people were gathered to see him. Gans was introduced ami given a tremendous reception. ' In a little speech, the [champion said that he vas out to win and knew that the fight would be a hard one. He acknowledged Herman to be one of the hardest men in the ring and said that he did not expect to have a walkover as so many people have quoted hi mas sayingLater on in Riley’s office Gans said that he had not weighed since early in September and could not say what his weight 'is at the present. He also stated that h? meant to make the weight required and would start tho hardest kind of work on Monday.
