He has height, speed, experience and determination all wrapped up in his varsity squad of 12 boys. Doug Ford f6-4) is the tallest boy on the squad and Douglas has them every size, shape and form. He could floor a team wdiich averagesDec.Sophia Hoop ScheduleDouglas said, “and has gotten better each time.” Asked whether he thought any of his basketballers could have a chance for all-state honors, Douglas was quick to name Jim. “He can do a little bit of everything—-shoot, play defenseand offense, shoot foul shots like dropping pebbles in the water, etc.”The two boys he lost through graduation which will be hard to replace are Pete McKinney and Joel Shumate, who played out front and were especially good on defense.
