Bernard Slate Dies at Omaha HospitalBernard R. Slate, 60, Bluff* Hotel, local sportsman, died Thursday at the Omaha Veterans Hospital after a short illness.He was a veteran of World War I and native of South Omaha, Survivors include a son, Bernard State Jr., serving with the U.S. Navy Air Force, and a daughter Gloria •Jean Slate of Maywood. Calif.The Heafy and Heafy Funeral Home of, Omaha is in charge.
