Neenah Mann whipped Menasha Maplewood, 64-33, Appleton Madison scored a triple-overtime victory over Kaukauna, 56-55, Appleton Roosevelt downed Kimberly, 44-35, and Appleton Wilson disposed of Appleton Einstein, 53-41.Conant took a 14-10 lead after a quarter and rolled to a 46-30 advantage by the end of three periods. Mark Thurner dumped in 22 points and Paul Perry added 17 for the winners. Tops for Butte des Morts was Bill Draeger with 11 markers and Steve Day with 10.Mann started slowly against Maplewood, leading 11-9, after one segment but quickly upped the spread to 30-15 at halftime. The winners owned a 44-23 advantage after three quarters and were led by Dan Varberg’s 21 points. Kurt Zimmerman added nine, Jim Korth eight and Kevin Bork seven. Rod Fredricksen was tops for the Menashans with nine points while Bob Burroughs hit seven.It took Madison three overtimes to nip Kaukauna by a point after the score was knotted, 43-all at the end of regulation play, 49-all after one overtime and 51-all after two extra periods. The winners finally took a three-point lead in the third overtime on a Wally Vander Wie-len basket and won by a point when Kaukauna hit a field goal in the waning seconds.Vander Wielen paced Madison with 22 points while Pete Ciske notched 14. Frank Bouressa fired in 23 for Kaukauna. Madison had held a 14-13 edge in thefirst quarter but fell behind, 22-?0 at the half. The score was tied at 34-all at the end of three periods.Roosevelt rolled to its second win behind a 22-point output by 6-6 Paul Calloway, who won the battle of the big men over Kim-b e rl y 5 s 6-5 Joe Wyngaard, Roosevelt surged from a 21-20 halftime lead to a final 44-35 advantage by allowing Kimberly just 15 points in the sdcond half.
