Claims a reboundGene Parks (51) of Nebraska Wesleyan takes down rebound despite ef-Nebraska defeated Kansas in a foul-filled battle of Wesleyan basketball teams Saturday night in Sacred Heart gymnasium.Nebraska .Wesleyan posted a 93-74 victory, ’ • winning its 2nd straight game in as many nights against a Kansas conference foe.Friday night the Nebraska outshot McPherson’s Bulldogs 86-75 in their season opener at McPherson.Wesleyan, in losing its 3rd game in 4 starts this season, was tagged with 41 fouls and that made the Plainsmen’s winning easier as they whipped in 33 foul shots. The invading Methodists were tooted for 26 fouls.To the benchThe Coyotes lost half their 12-man varsity roster on fouls at various stages of the 2nd half. The Cowboys hit only 6 of 26 shots in the first half for a cool 23 per cent.Meanwhile, Nebraska was hitting 49 per cent before a delighted Coliseum crowd of 7,300.Nebraska also had a rebound advantage at 52-35.Jack Adams was the Cowboy high man with 11.
