Beaugez ButlerLead OS Hounds In 1912 VictoryThe Ocean Springs Greyhounds led by Beaugez and Butler, came from behind in the final quarter last Thursday to beat Mize, 19-12, on the new athletic field.Between halves. W. H. Calhoun, president of the Ocean Springs Athletic Association, made an address dedicating the field. A group of children, dressed as toy blocks, then lined up to spell out the words—the name of the field is Freedom field.Butler Goes For 62First quarter of the game was dow. featured by a Butler punt that rolled out on the Mize one-vard-line. In the second period, a Mize fumble was recovered bv the Hounds on their own 24. Butler then got loose for 62 yards to the Mize 14 from where Beaugez scored. That tied the score. 6-6.By blocking a punt. Mize took over in Hound territory and went on to score hv Sullivan from the two. They failed the point and the score was 12-6:Beaugez Gets SecondComing back in the fourth quarter. OS tallied after a long drive, with Beaugez again scoring. this time from the one.With four minutes left to go, OS recovered a Mize fumble and turned it into a game-winning break. A Williams to Kiernan pass put them on the two, from which Beaugez got his third touch of the night. Butler scored the extra point.At the start of the four-hour program, the OS pee-wees beat Notre Dame pee-wees. 14-6. Starring for the locals were McBrBide and Catchot.
