Lieutenant Stark finished wellto the fore in a large class of graduates in the officers’ training school.While wearing the blue and maroon of the local high school. Stark won many a coveted “C and was a member of every state championship team which the school produced during his four years in the institution. As a football star and basketeer he shared honors year in and year out with Ho- j; mer Martin. He was one of the leading high school trick men of the state and a good baseball player.Last winter he made the regular Wesleyan basketball five with ease and was considered of tha main-ys. of that ultra-successful quin-latte. Shortly after the close of tho basketball esason, he enlisted in a mechanical training unit and was sent to a Virginia cantonmentT He was pro-^Qoted to a sergeancy only a few wethcs after his arrival in camp.Today, • Lieutenant Stark expressed his intention of returning to school after Christmas, providing that he is »ot called back into the service in the meanwhile.
