Brown’s Choquette On All-New EnglandBOSTON (AP)-A Rhodes scholar nominee, a stumpy, cocky young nuarlcrback and a brace of hard-running halfhacks form the backficld for the 1959 Associated Press All-New England football team released today.Xn iront of that quartet is a massive line averaging 220 pounds and featuring two of the better linesmen produced in the six-state area in rercnt years. Trinity center Rc-ger LeClcrc and Holy Cross guard Vln Promuto.The backfield ;s composed of fullback Paul Gooquctte of Brown, halfbacks Jake Crouthamcl of Dartmouth and Chet Boulns of Harvard, and quarterback Johnny Amabilc of Boston College.Among-them they boast a variety of talents.Choquette, probably the mostin thp Twteam. Boston University has end Gene Prebcda and guard Lcn Pare, while Holy Cross 'has end Charley Pacunas to join Promuto from their fine, first unit line.Tackle Harry Oliver of Yale, at 20n pounds the smallest of the interior linesmen, completes theteam.Promuto, generally considered the leader of Holy Cross' line, was one of the prime professional draft choices.
