The team showed I unusual form in the last half of the game and permitted the Wheatland team to score only one point during the half. As the locals have a hard game here tonight they traveled easy during the first half and the score of the half was 17 to 10. During the second period the local aggregation put on steam and soon overwhelmed the Knox county team. Mattingly,! Allen and Downey starred for Wash-; ingfcon.I The game was a rough one but I all of the local players came out in good shape and are in fine form for the game tonight. After the game an incident occurred that was to be much regretted. Jason Brown, a substitute on the local team, was struck by a spectator as the crowd was leaving the hall and was laid out for several minutes.' An attempt was made to find out who the guilty par-i ty was but with no success. The in-I cident was no fault of the Wheatland j high school officials but was the action of a ruffian who had gotten into the crowd during the game.Junior Team Won.The local Junior team was successful in the curtain raiser to the game and defeated the second team of the Wheatland high school by the score of 19 to 17.
