Jimmy Gardner Defeated.San Francisco, Nov. 25. — After 20 j rounds of sensational fighting, Mike (Twin) Sullivan of Cambridge, Mass. defeated Jimmy Gardner of Lowell, Mass., Referee Jack Welch making the decision while Gardner was car ried weak and tottering to his corner The decision was a popular one, not only on its merits but because it also brought joy to the short-enders, who generally obtained odds of 2 to 1. The j 5ght was full of skillful boxing and footwork, hard punching and well directed efforts.
