LaPorte Boxer Worsted.The opening contest in a boxing show in South Bend Friday night whs between Hayes, of South Bend, and Hathaway, said to he from LaPorte. The latter was no match for the South Bender and the meeting was a farce. Hayes had the inexperienced substitute at his mercy from the sound of the gong and the seconds wisely threw up the sponge in the second round.
