Besides entrants from the Bar Harbor Club, there were teams entered from swimming clubs in Southwest Harbor, Northeast Harbor, Seal Harbor, and from the U. S. S. San Francisco, which was anchored in the harbor for the week. Judges of the show were John B. Thayer,Potter Palmer and Dick Hebard, club tennis professional. Prizeswere presented to the winnei’s inthe various events by Mrs. John B. Thayer of Philadelphia.The events and winners in theirorder include: Beginners’ class, Judy Blair, Beaubeau Borie and Sandra Bacon; 20 yard freestyle, children under 9, Antiss McCor-mick-Goodhax-t and Polly Palmer; 20 yard freestyle, boys under 14, Arthur Perkins and Dick Homer, Southwest Harbor Club; 20 yard fi-eestyle, girls under 14, Joy Pray of Southwest Harbor Club and Helen Chapin of Seal Harbor Club; 45 yard x*ace, girls under 18, Joy Pray and Kitty Wicks; 45 yard freestyle, for women, Joy Pray and Kitty Wicks; 130 yard medleyrelay, for men, Northeast Harbor Swimming Club and U. S. S. San Francisco; children’s diving, Michael Pulitzer and Polly Thayer;45 yard freestyle, for men, Douglas Small, Northeast Harbor Club, and John Langmaid, Southwest Harbor Club; women's fancy diving, Barbara McFadden and Joy Pray; 180 yard relay, for men, Northeast Harbor Club and Bar Harbor Club.Larry Munson and Bob Vincent.club swimming instructor, staged |a comedy exhibition at the close ofthe meet.* .k
