Crash Victims Will Defy Fate On Track AgainTed Chamberlain Keeps Nerve Despite Narrow Escape At llornellNot satisfied with their narrow escape from death in recent auto race accidents, Wilbur Laroach and Ted Chamberlain, Olean. will defy the Grim Reaper agaio, the list of entries for the Labor Day an to races at Lockport. reveals,Laroach had one of the most miraculous escapes from death ever known in racing circles when his racing car locked wheels with another last week at the Horncll fair grounds.Chamberlain, holder of the record for the half-mile dirt track at Lockport, suffered painful injuries when his car threw a wheel at the turn on the Hornelt track and crashed sideways into the heavy concrete wall.Chamberlain has recovered sufficiently to engage in several trial runs and he is satisfied that he will defend his laurels against the crack field Track Manager Joe Keller has signed up to compete ( in the holiday race3.Ted Kessler and Jack Reynolds ; have made it known that they arc ' out to take the laurels from Ted ; and that they expect to turn the ' track in less than the thirty-one second record held by the Olean speed king.
