Three teams tie in Elks SweepstakesThree teams tied for the top spot in the annual ElksGolf Sweepstakes, a two-man best ball event. All three posted 120.Members of the teams: Jim Hartman, Howard Hochscheid, A1 Frankey and Jack Hupp on one team; (’hick Warth, Barney Aston. Carl Willet and Norm Heberer on another and Bud Hair, Mike Giardullo, Jerry Miller and Red Wilmoth on the third.In the two-man event Walt Apke and William Krueger took first with 58, Don Baerman and Fritz Fremgen tied Jude Spoerl and Bob Phillips for second with 59.Four teams tied for the next spot with 60s They are: Gene Domis-Lou Fazio, Merle Lottes Jack Rad-cliffe. Bob Bernhardt-Fazioand Dan Padgell-Carl Viars.Best ever scores were Jude Spoerl 78 and RussHamilton and Terry Smith 76. Hugh Kernohan and Terry Smith had eagles on No. 11Tiger Paws meet tonightThe Tiger Paws will meet tonight at 7:30 at Waldo's Supper Club. Highlight of the meeting will be films of the Taft scrimmage against St. Xavier.The Taft football team will have its next scrim mage Wednesday night at Edgewood against the Cougar varsity at 7:30. A reserve mate kip will immediately follow.
