IN-----House Of David Team Plays Here Sept. 22The powerful House of Davirl baseball team, famous alike for its ball-playing a/bility and its hirsute adornments, will play the Clovis Sun-shiners here the afternoon of Sept. 22, Bert Elledge, business manager of of the Sunshiners, announce/! yesterday afternoon after he had signed a contract with the Bearded Beauties’ advance man.The House of David team will stop over here to play the game on their way to Old Mexico for some wintergames. The strength of this team is attested by the fact that it won the Denver tournament this year, and it has beaten several major league clubs in early season games. The Sunshiners will be bolstered by players from surrounding towns to give the be-whiskered ones a run for their money.Lefty Lindfey, Clovis chunker, pitched against the House of David lastJ year at Tucumeari and lost by thd comparatively narrow margin of 6 to 0.
