Aside rom securing eleven hits off iprankle, the visitors added to ;heir score by some loose playing n the part of the home boys ach one evidently wanting to ;ee just how far he could throw he ball regardless of its destiny, rhis, with the absence of anv* .iground rules, made it a case of ollow the leader when there were nen on bases. Considerable A'ranglmg was indulged in ;hroughout the game, so much ;o that umpire Powell gave up :he job in the fourth inning and vas succeeded by Bill Kelly who landled the indicator for the re-nainder of the game. The atten-lance at the morning game was )oor and it is doubtful whether mother attempt will be made to mil off two games in one day, he fans apparently not appreciating the stunt. In the afternoon performance •Vinslow won by the lop-sided core of 9 to 3. Bazell pitched him-elf out of some tight places the ases being populated no less han three times, yet the visitors vould fail to score. The game opened with Wiliams at bat the side being retir-d without a run, three men gong out on flys, Willis being left it first. Since leaving the Winslow team Willis has been subject to considerable “kidding”by the local Ians but he is a game sport and takes it all in good part. It might be well to mention that the greater portion ofthe fans have a warm regard for Willis and recognize his ability to play ball.Eberle was unfortunate in that* lt;. •. - * * *he had two fingers badly mashed« • 4in the morning game and the effect was plajnly visible during the afternoon he being charged*»
