The F'alcons have both of their ends back, their quarterback and one of their halfbacks along with a veteran line According to Miner assistant Coach Charles Karazsia North Vermillion is a small team and not near the size of Linton, but the Falcons showed quickness in their Jamboree Linton coming off a poor showing in the Jamboree last Saturday is looking forward to showing the fans what the 1976 Miners can do Although spirits were down early in the week things had taken a complete reverse by Thursday night.Linton goes into the season s opener with a healthy roster.Starting offensively for the Miners will be Kirk Sanders and Duane Finley at the end positions, Wayne Elliott at one tackle with Mike Harroll and Jerry McKim alternating at the other tackle position; Scott Wagner and J Ken Wright will be the guards with Pat Sparks centering the football. The offensive backfield for the Miners will be the same as in the Jamboree with Dan Stockrahm calling the signals at quarterback, David Stockrahm and Dan Eccles at halfbacks and Matt Kice at fullbackDefensively for Linton, J. Ken Wright will be the middle guard, Wayne Elliott will be the left tackle and Barry Kelly will be the left end. Pat Sparks will play right tackle and Kirk Sanders right end. Scott Wagner will be the left linebacker and Matt Rice the right linebacker. Tim Stockrahm will play the outside linebacker position.
