TOP ’48 PERFORMERS—Two of the brightest stars in lastyear’s national VFW softball tourney were Frank Sosko, left, and Vick Champlain. Sosko was pitcher and captain of the Toledo. Ohio nine, and Champlain was the ace pitcher for run--nerup Pueblo, Colorado. Both were picked on the all-tourney *team, and Champlain was named the meet’s outstanding performer.
