MEETS BRAINERDUNDERARTIFICIAL LIGHT*Play Here Under Flood Lights Monday***When the House of David baseball club, the most famous of all traveling ball clubs, plays Brain-erd Monday, August 29 at new Bane park at 8 p. m., they will not pnly have the only portable light plant capable of lighting a ball park to play ball at night the same as day, but they also bring with them some of the greatest all-1-ound ball players outside of the major leagues, Including Grover Cleveland Alexander, former major league star. Heckman, star first sacker, is the Babe Ruth of the club. Last season he hit 421. Williams, the greatest second baseman !n independent baseball, and Faust, ishortstop, make one of the fastest double play combinations outside of organized baseball. Harrison, star third baseman, has hair 36 Inches long and there are very few third sackers even in the major leagues that have anything on this boy. Bruski, left fielder, La Fleur, center field, and Tolies, right, make a trio of as classy an outflled as most any manager would care to have. They are good hitters and are real flyhawks. Bleiding and Hipp are two of as sweet catchers as any one would want on a ball club. Hipp can also pitch a good game and can play any positionon the team. The pitching staff would gladden the heart of most any league manager, Griffin, the great left hander, Lewis, Miller, Laufer and Harden, and with the slower ball this season it will mean smaller batting averages for the batters. Ganzel’s home run with the bases loaded in the ninth inning decided theopening game.After losing six games in a row, St. Paul defeated Indianapolis, 7 to 3, behind the 5-hit pitching of Gene Trow.Weinert’s wild pitch in the ninth allowed Milwaukee to score the winning run over Columbus and take the game, 4 to 3.
