TOUGH LUCKSprudek Win Sunday’s Game by Clean,Hard Playing.EIGHT COSTLY ERRORSThe West Baden Sprudels came over again, Sunday, and outclassed our boys by a score of 10 to 5. The visitors had improved their first bag man and changed the pitcher end of their battery. The game started well for us, as our boys, by clean, hard batting brought in four scores in the first inning. But these scores, with one in the ninth, were ail we could get. The Sprudels made most of their runs through the errors of McKinney, Pitts and Fletcher. It was tough luck, but on account of the visitors’ square playing,we’re not kicking, and hope to meet the same bunchagain at some future date.Hurley was on the mound for the home team and pitched an excellent game, allowing the visitors, who are noted for their slugging qualities, but six hits—three of which were made in j the eighth. If supported as he should have been, the score would have shown different. The Score| West Baden SprudelsABRHPOAEi11' Downs, 2b220250'; Harrison, lb•)009•—lCobbs, c52180o1(Ziegler, rf.■j02000 :McMurray, 3bf21000;Kimbro, ss19*—0420!•Miller, p11140 jHocker, If4003(Ilt;!Lee, of41100j Total,40 10♦l27 131I 'Ii; Salem,ABRHPOAEiC.
