The basic course is lor beginners-Functional instruction includes swimming with pack and helmet, using equipment to aid buoyancy; removing clothes in the water; and carrying weapons in the water without damage.Recreational Swimminghours for men are from 1800 to 2200 Mondays, Tuesdays. Thursdays, and Saturdays; and Sunday afternoons from 1200 to 1800.Officers and their guetsts may swim in Pool No. 2 Wednesday, Friday*, and Sunday evenings, 1800 to 2200; and Sunday mornings from 1000 to 1200.Pool No. 3, at the St ation Hospital, is open to enlisted men only. Training hours are the same, 0800 to 1800 daily; with recreational swimming every evening and all day Sunday.No. 1 Pool is shut down indefinitely.
