Fraternal Order of Police Will Open Their National Meeting On Sunday __Featuring addresses by nationally known authorities on crime detection and public protection, as well as entertainment such as a special day at A Century of Progress international exposition, championship | baseball games, tours and parties, the Fraternal Order of Police will open its national convention in Gary next Sunday. Governor Paul V. McNutt of Indiana, U. S. Senator James j J. Davis of Pennsylvania, Director Purvis of U. S. Secret Service, heads of metropolitan police departments and other authorities will be principal speakers during the convention.Interspersed through the program are entertainment features on a large scale. While the national officers hold their annual meeting in new Hotel Gary, officials headquarters, Sunday, delegates and guests will attend the double-header baseball game between the House of | David and F. O. P. champions and j the Pittsburgh softball and F. O.; P. interstate champions. Delegates arriving Sunday also will play golf on six sporty course, enjoy bathing, boating, at Gary’s duneland Marquette Park on Lake Michigan, and special tours of the famous Calumet region.The official business program will open next Monday when Mayor R.
