'Hie pile of trophies arrayed in front of Crick’s sparkling new Yamaha YZ racer range from fourth place finishes in events at Centralia and (ireenbriar raceways to a pair of firsts, a second and a fourth in motos at the challenging Joppa track. Crick’s latest effort produce a second place trophy at Joppa last Sunday, even though he was tied in total points with the first place recipient. Brad lost out on the first place trophy via a tie-breaking process which gave the award to the winner of the final heat, where Crick finished third. Dennis Irvin, competing for the Jim’s Yamahateam, also brought back a second place trophy in the 250 cc classlast Sunday. Crick’s event is the 175 category. Other members of “Team James” include Ed Williams, John Stokich, Gary Beltz, Jeff Williams, 1 .inn Howie, Ken Shewinake, Mike Bolin, Randy and Kicky King, and the newest members, Russ Gaskins and Buzz Johnson, both of whom managed to eat considerable dirt with considerable courage in their debuts last Sunday. Motocross racing takes a weekend off this week, with no races on tap in the immediate area, giving the local crew time to heal a few bruises. The grueling sport is attracting a growing fan group from Harrisburg, with as many as 60 localttes making the Sunday treks to observe the action. (Register Photo)
