(UP) — A picked group of major league baseball stars will leave Vancouver October 20 on a globe-circling tour, it was learned today.The squad, which will include Babe Ruth, as manager, Jimmy Foxx, Rogers Hornsby, Earl Averill, Lefty Gomez, Clint Brown, Lou Gehrig, Heinie Manush, Charley Berry, will be accompanied by Connie Mack.Honolulu will be their first stop. Arriving there on November 2, the team will play one game and then embark for Japan, where they are scheduled to play 17 games with universities.The next game is booked for Shanghai, from where they will go to Manila for a series of three games.The Philippines is the final scheduled stop for the all-stars, but it was said several players would finish circling the globe.The tour is sponsored by John D. Shibe, vice president of the Athletics.
