Sharpsville cops Tipton LL tourneyKEMPTON - Jim Oaks hurled a three-hitter asSharps-ville’s Pepsi romped to an easy, 9-3, triumph over Tipton local 3375 in the championship game of the Tipton County Little League Tournament here last night.The victory ended a perfect season for the Pepsi team as they posted an 18-0 record.Sharpsville has actually won 29 in a row and 31 of its last 32 games. Manager Dave Henderson announced that he was calling it quits tonight after nine seasons.Oaks had a no-hitter going for three innings before the Tipton swingers connected. He was backed by Randy Shock’s three run homer over the left field fence in the third inning when Sharpsville scored four big runs.Second baseman Pat Manahan played a good glove game for Pepsi and contributed two doubles to the attack. Catcher Bar.- y Dill had three doubles for Sharpsville.Swango and Howery pitched for Upton and Swango was tagged with the loss.
