Friday night at the arc-lit Memorial Field diamond they’ll see something even more unusual—the Everett Legionnaires taking on the HagerstownMollys.This is the Legion nine’s first 1952 departure fro\n the amateur ranks—and Legion Athletic director John Hixon is looking forward to the toughest test of the year for the Legionnaires, who in their spare time have racked up a pennant-winning 16-2 record in the Greater Bedford County League.The game is scheduled for 8:30 Friday night under the lights at Memorial Field in Everett. A good crowd is expected and much wanted at the game, the proceeds of which are to be used to finance the Everett Legion’s large athletic program.The Mollys are a group of topflight women professionals—some rated among the top distaff players of the land.
