V 1STARTS FRIDAY jDonkey baseball, first introduced in this city by the House of David baseball team, will be staffed at Horlirk field under the auspices of the Racine Post 7 0. American Le-ffion, for five nights beginning on Friday evening of this week and continuing until Tuesday night. Aug. 28. All games will be played under floodlights provided for the occasion and will be nine innings in length.Cudahy Here.The opening game of the series will bring together teams representing the Americat) Region posts of Cudahy and Racine. Rivals in games on the following nights have not vet been determined. Local teams wishing to play in this series are asked to get in touch with Fred Heinisch, commander of the local Legion ]K)st.Monday night. Aug. 27, has been designated as I'nion .Grove night. On that evening a team from the “Grove” will take part in the game. A section of 200 seats has been reserved for fans from I'nion Grove who are expected to accompany the club.Begin Ticket Sales.Complete plans for the series will be announced later in the week. Meanwhile an advance ticket sale has begun. Ducats may be purchased at Wiegand Jewelry store and the Ace Grille, downtown; at Higgins Sporting Goods store in West Racine; and at Jacobson Clothing store. Sixteenth street.
