0^7* ^ Card.—Editors Sandusky Register: We, the undersigned, having seen a notice in your paper, dated Aug. 15th, 1862, signed C. P. Reynolds, Clerk, stating that we were no longer Trustees of the First Regular An-y Baptist Church of Sandusky C’it v,would say, for the benefit of the public, that the statement in such notice is utterly false. That we are Trustees of the above describedChurch, regularly daied; that we know of no such man as C. P. Reynolds, but that we do know one E. P. Reynolds, who was once a# Imember of the above described Church and also ( lerk. But that said E. 1*. Reynoldshas been expelled from said Church by legalprocess, and is no m«re one of us: that he0(Reynolds) has refused to give up to us ourbooks and papers, together with the proceeds of two festivals—one held last winter and one this spring—got up by said E. P.Reynolds and his wife, under the name of the above Church; that we have been led to believe said Reynolds is about to collect money under the pretence that it is for the above Church; that we deem it a privilege to have to reply to the above notice, so as to warn the public against frauds.Lawrence JohnstonJ ,Nathasif.l Jones, lt;lruM*s-G.
