BELOW The Sand Plum Nature Trail is a private location which has several trails varying in length.Because the land is about ahalf-mile from St. Fidelis Catholic Church and is easily accessible for townspeople, Brungardt thought about building a pumpkin patch or a Christmas tree farm.Brungardt s brother suggested a wine vineyard. Brungardt didn't want to make a rush decision, so hewaited a year./One day, he was walking around the creek on the land with his dog. Since the weeds were high, Brungardt mowed a path along the creek. Joe Brungardt, one of five family siblings who currently has a stake in the land, is the only one who still lives in Victoria. Three years ago, he stopped farming because expenses were too high. Instead of renting the ground, Brungardt wanted toput it to another use.
