The team, under the direction of Coach Jim Harkema, will be the first fielded by the River Grove college In Its six-year history.Harkema states more than 80 athletes have shown Interest in the team. He expects up to 50 mure to come out to practice. Any student interested in playingfor the team is asked to contact the coach at the school.Harkema, who directed Niles East High School to a 5-3 record last season, is in his first year of college coaching. At the high school level, his teams compiled an 11-13 record over three seasons. He is a graduate of Kalamazoo (Mich.) college, and Western Michigan University. Assisting him will be Pat Patterson, a former Iowa U. star fullback, Tom Crum, formerly of the University of Dl, and George Jorndt, an Illinois State U. grad already on the Triton staff,T'.ie team expects to play its home games on a newly-sodded field on the campus. It will meet College of DuPage, Wheaton College Frosh, and Elmhurst College junior varsity at home this year.
