Deep Gloom Dominates Setlement When All Stars Can’t ShineIn spite of the brilliant sunsh!of last Sunday afternoon, darclouds of gloom settled over the “Settlement,” The Kerrville All Stars, filled with energy and ff3J the mood to win a ball game “got stood up” by the Smithville Black Tigers. But news finally reached President Jim Pollard and his galaxy of players that the bus, which was to bring the Tigers to Kerrville, had broken dbwn between Austin and Johnson City,However, optimism reigned this week and Big Bill Haynes, manager of the All Stars is alt set for a game with the San Antonio Black Missions, to be played in the Pittman-Sullivan Park in theAlamo City. A special bus has been chartered for the occasion, and will leave Kerrville at 10:80 a. m. All fans who desire to go and to make reservations are asked to telephone Maggie Neal, Phone 9-618.The AH Stars are anxious for a calvacade of cars to accompany them to the city.
