iEALEYS HOPE to mm scoreHutchinson Pastimers Meet Team to Which They Lost in State Tournament.The consolation teams in the recent state amateur baseball tournament, Hutchinson Seeleys and Kiowa will battle here at the Carey park diamond Sunday afternoon, Manager Tip Sealey announces. .They met at Wichita Sunday afternoon in a gruelling 13-lnning game which went to Kiowa, S to 8. However, Boss Sealey and his local players feel sure they can down the strong Ktowa aggregation in another game,“That's the reason we're bringing them to Hutchinson for another game, explained Sealey. lo show them we can boat them.1’The local team is in good shape following last week’s strenuous tournament schedule. Failure of the pitching staff to come through was blamed for the locals one-sided defeat at the hands of Abilene In the semi-final game.Manager Sealey has received a check for his team's share In the tournament receipts and a large trophy with the name Hutchinson Seeleys engraved on it is expected to ho received here within a few days.The play of the Hutchinson team Is highly praised in a letter received by the loeai manager from Raymond Dumont, tournament manager,. Mr. Dumont writes:“We hope that you found your trip to 'Wichita a successful one. I have talked to many of the fans today, and most of them still contend that you hs.ve the best team in the tournament, despite the fact that you finished fourth. There is no doubt but what your team made the best hit with the fans, even though they did lose two games. Of course, this cannot he helped, but with the two gamo elimination next year a club like yours would certainly have an outstanding chance to win the state championship,“We would appreciate hearing from you any frank remarks regarding how the tournament might be Improved for next season. This information wou'd be appreciated, as we want to do everything possible In making the tournament more successful every season.“Although the tournament did not draw as well as we expected during the early days, we beiieve by nexi season it will bo on a real paying basis, and may extend Jt by 1933 tc include at least 4 states.
