] HOUSE OF DAVID AND MONARCHS T( BE HEREAUG. 3(Famous Barn s t o r m i n lt;Teams Will Play Each Other At Athletic Park BLUES BOSSES ANGLING FOR SEPTEMBER DATEThe Beatrice Baseball association stated today that It had sign-ed the House of David and the Kansas City Monarchs to meet each other at Athletic park August 30.Arrangements were completed yesterday when the association learned that the two famous barnstorming teams would be In this i vicinity on that date and were available.Both are widely and favorably known in this section having toured through here often in times past meeting fast local teams However, this will be the first time in local history that the two have crossed bats in a test of strength The spectacle is expected to attract unusual interest.It will not be the first time they have met this season A week ago they played for the championship of the Denver Post tournament before a record throng The House of David won that encounter 2 to 0.Famous TeamsBoth teams will come here with j the same lineups which appeared at Denver, the House of David featuring Grover Cleveland Alexander, former major league pitcher, who was taken from the pitching staff and placed in the manager s ■ chair shortly before the Denver games.
