Alexander Lasts Only Two Frames as Kansas CityClub Wins 10-4.By WALTER E. DOBBINS.Bunching four hits with an error off Grover Alexander in the first two frames and continuing their assault off Hardin and Tally, the Kansas City Monarchs defeated the House of David 10 to 4 before a packed house at Landis field Wednesday night. Old Pete was charged with the defeat altho Pitcher Brewer, who scored the final run in the second frame would have been out at the plate had Catcher Hill held Lawrence's throw to the rubber on an attempted double steal.The whiskered gentlemen got off to a two run lead in the first when the first three men to face Brewer hit safely. They went scoreless from then on out until in the final canto Tally and Atwell doubled with none away. Ambrose acored both runners with a single.Young's triple with Giles aboard got Alex into trouble in the first. Joseph led off the seconlt;| with a sharp single to left. Duncan sacrificed and Brewer was hit by a pitched ball. Allen singled Joseph home and Brewer scored a moment later on Hill's error.From then on the colored sluggers slapped Hardin's offerings all over the arena while Tally who finished fared only a little better. The Monarchs’ big inning was the fifth when five hits produced four runs to clinch the ball game.They added two more off Tally in the seventh to call it a big evening.
