Spencer 1 up. ;Mike Sherman, Sioux City professional, and acorekeeper for the tourn ament, broke the Spencer course record yesterday; playing 18 holes in 71. The best previous record was 74, held jointly by Warren Dickinson andW- H. Thomas.Finals ore being played today in ■ jHhe various flights of the ^ourna-ment, which has furnished good golf and attracted a large field of players, many of them from distant towns. The course has been in great shape, With enough rain to keep the turf lively and not enough to make it soggy.Spencer was put out of the running for the championship yester-day when Dickinson defeated Walter Thomas 1 up in the semi-finals.Spencer won 'the team championship with a total score of 325. Sioux Cifcy'fl team score was 342. The individual scores of the Spencer team were: W. H# Thomas 76, D. E. Green 79, Sioux City: L. M. Mahood 83, Lee Herron 82, H. Davidson 87, Carlton McLaughlin .90. For Cherokee P.B. Cleaves made 82 and Roy H. King 92,W. H.
