HOCKEY MEETING OFFThe executive meeting of the Manitoba Amateur Hockey Asso ciation called for the Winnipeg rink on August 17 has been postponed until August 24, at the same place. This action is taken by the hockey officials out of respect to the memory of Mrs. Marples, mother of Fred Mar-pies, secretary of the association, who was killed at the St. Vital fair late Friday night.The whole of Winnipeg’s sport• ing fraternity unites in extending its sincerest sympathy to Fred Marples in his great loss.
