Stars, coarhed by Bernie Cain, will be seen at 3 p.m. at Smith Farm. Pitcher Eddie Cain and Outfielder Don Garver of the champion VFW No, 3S09 team are on the team as are Catcher Larry Sm'th and Pitcher Ted Traylor of runner-up Junior Optimist.Russ Mittenholier, who wen 13 of 14 games for Gardner, and Milton Pate, who won nine of 10 for FOP, are members of the Class B team which opens the day at 1 p m. at Smith Farm. Mittenholier ha» a one-hitter to hit credit and Pate two one-hitters. Red Sullivan it the manager.Cec'l Reffitt's Class C squad of 30 is the largest team.■Stars PlayThree teams, league champion Sawyer Realtors, league runner-up Armco and the Jay* rees all placed three players on the team. No hit pitchers on the squad are Johnny Kraft, Jaycees; Ricky C h u p V a , Strickland Realtors; Dick Ev-ans, Kiwani* Club, and Ed Timmer, Armco.The Class C encounter will be played under the Gardnerdiamond lights beginnng at 1.30 p.m.Paul Fox ha* IS Clast D start for the 7 p.m. game at Gardner. League champ i o n Miller Inturanct placed three of its unbeaten players on the team while C'ty Loan also has three All-Star berth*.Mike Phillip* of Miller Insurance and Jim Ousley o f American Legion, the winning-est Class D moundtmen, aromembers of the tquad. Both have twirled three hitles* games.Money taken in st the game* through donation will be used to enhance 195S Middletown Knothole baseball. No admission will be charged.Ump'ret for tbo games will be furnished bv the Middletown Umpires' Association.
