In their half of the first stanza, the Blue Sox batted around and scored seven runs. That was the ball game and also enough for Christenson, starting pitcher for the visitors, who was relieved by Kelley.'From that time on, the game lagged, each team adding scores from time to time. Elk Point had won agame with Lennox, !S. P., the sameafternoon and some of the 11 award en lineup played with Hudson during the day, so a lot of the players were lacking their usual pep that night. The game was quite a disappointment for one of the largest crowds of the season.O'Connor for Hawarden struck out 12 batters and allowed 4 hits during six innings on the mound. He also did well at the plate, with a bonier in the first, and a douible in the sixth. He was relieved at the start of the seventh by Bowden.Tuesday night's encounter was a more interesting ball game. Ilawar-den got two runs in the fourth, but all the rest of the scoring by both teams was done in a wild, hectic seventh inning, when each team tallied four times. In that frame, the Blue Sox -turned two hits and a couple of walks into their four runs, but the Livestock Exchange gathered thetr* quartet of tallies on an assortment of fielding errors, overthrows and walks, without a single hit.
