West Alton Product Hurled ShutotJt With Swollen Arm When Called On For Regular Mound Work.Baseball heroes have como anti gone but at this particular time the, little county community of West Alton is shouting its praises for Mt -Janeslvo, star bearded hurier of the House of David Baseball team. Mike's hurling record this year compares with the great feats of the past.The bearded hoys are now in the state of Hew York where Mrs. Ruth Janesko, wife of the hurier, just returned after visiting her husband. Who did not know her husband's complete record but stated he won twenty-five and lost ten games in contests ne started and finished. His relie-record and games where lie was knocked out are not included.Mike has registered seven shutouts so far this year. The bearded team started their season March 5 and will complete the schedule early in Sep* lomoor. At the present rate Mike will have at least thirty victories at the end of the year.The West Alton 'product is truly an iron man. The club plays gurnet every day and some weeks plays an many as twelve contests. Some days three games are played by the club. Willi only four hurlera the boys get plenty of work and sore arnm. Mike injured his arm in one contest ana with it badly swollen, lie went on the mound and hurled ono of his shutouts.A three day rest is like a holiday to Mike, Mrs. Janesko said. The manager of the club appreciated the visit from the hurloHs wife. Ho was in better form and the club leader attributed that to the diet which the; wife placed her husband on.
