To Salem RebelsGeneral - Manager Colin Kilburn announced that the Rebels will be supplied with players from,more.than one World Hockey Association team this season.Two new working affiliations are the Winnipeg Jets and the Houston Aeros of the WHA. Houston, who were the WHA champions last season, could have about 5 or 07 players available to the Rebels. The Aeros will be training in Houston.■ The Winnipeg Jets, who finished '4th in the Western Division, behind Houston, will also be sending approximately 7 to 8 players to the Rebels. The Jets will be training in Winnipeg* Manitoba with their camp to start September 17.The past two years the Rebels have worked With the Vancouver Blazers of the WHA. With the administration changes . in the Blazer organization, and the player dealings that the Blazers have been* making, it appears that one or two former Blazer prospects, who were with the Rebels, could return. Many good young rookies will be attending the Blazer camp which starts September 15 in Canada. Some of these players could be assigned to the Rebels.The Rebels camp will open at the Roanoke Civic Center about October 8th. Pre - season^exWbition games will be played prior to the Southern Hockey League schedule opening which is scheduled to opeh about October 18th. The SHL schedule of league games is expected to be approved by August 27th. The Rebels, in submitting their dates, are looking for home games, to be played on / Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
