He stopped Brown to Inquire direction*. He said he hadi com© from Lima, walking moat of the way, and was beaded for Toledo.Berealed Name.Brown said that during a “brief conversation the man told him hi* name but he could not recall it last night. He had an Irish accent that : was difficult to understand, Browu ! said. However. Brown learned that [ the man had in Mb day ben the 130pound champion of the world. He said he was M years old.The stranger told Brown that many years ago he brought a pugilist to Findlay to fight Biz Mackey, former ring star of this city who is said to be now living France. He stated that be was well acquainted with the late Con Hiley who managed Mackey.During the course of the talk.the stranger said that he had fought 325 battles and had lost but six. He said he had made aa much as $$0,000 in his lifetime but that he had either spent or given it all away. He waa pen nil ess when he talked to Brown.Xin In Columbus.He alio stated that he had two slaters in Columbus but he told Brown he wouldn’t go back to their homes without money. Brown aald that during their conversation the stranger held a pipe In hi-j band. A pipe was found In the dead man’s pocket, along with a few matches.Police last night learned that an F. J. Geizer of Tiffin was missing and that his description talliedto some extent with the man found here. The body is being held at the Miles funeral home pending word from relative* or friends.
