*Twas Orange County's Greatest.Lovers of real base ball were treated to the finest game ever pulled off here, and possibly the best ever played in the county when a fast team tom Orleans came over to “do ourboys” last Friday afternoon.The game was a battle between the pitchers, Orleans being represented by Ben Taylor, of Mitchell, who ear-ilier in the season was pitcher in the Federal League team, of Indianapolis. He was caught by Crowe, a famous catcher from West Baden. Bob Wicker, ex-leaguer and said to be one of the best ball players in Indiana, played with the visitors in left field. He also played with them in the previous game ‘at Orleans. Williams, pitcher, and McAtee, catcher from Loogootee, comprised Paoli’s battery, Ben Taylor pitched the finest game he has pitched in the numerous games he has played in this vicinity this year, and was given good support, with the exception of two ‘or three minor errors. Paoli played the nine innings without a single error, something verv rare for amateur nlavers.
